FAQ
Got questions?
Nonna has answers.
Everything you need to know about the app. Can't find what you're looking for? Send us a message.
How does Nonna work?
Nonna uses AI to analyze cooking videos from Instagram Reels and TikTok. Simply paste a video link into the app, and Nonna will automatically extract the ingredients, quantities, and step-by-step instructions — turning a 30-second video into a clear, structured recipe.
Which platforms are supported?
Nonna currently supports Instagram Reels and TikTok videos. We are actively working on adding support for Photos and other platforms in future updates.
Is Nonna free to use?
Nonna is free to download and use. We offer a free tier that allows you to convert a limited number of recipes. A premium subscription is available for unlimited conversions and additional features.
Does Nonna work with videos in languages other than English?
Yes! Nonna is designed to work with cooking videos in multiple languages including French, English, Italian, Spanish, and more. The app intelligently understands the spoken and written content regardless of the video language.
Can I use Nonna offline?
Once a recipe has been saved to your collection, you can access it fully offline — ingredients, steps, and all. The initial conversion from a video link requires an internet connection.
What if the recipe extraction is not accurate?
While Nonna's AI is very accurate, some videos may have unclear audio or fast-paced content. You can always edit any recipe after it has been created.
Can I organize my recipes?
Absolutely. You can create themed cookbooks (e.g. "Weeknight dinners", "Desserts", "Pasta") and organize your recipes into them. You can also mark recipes as favorites for quick access.
Is my data private?
Your privacy matters to us. We only process the video link you provide to extract recipe data. We do not store or share your personal data with third parties. Please read our Privacy Policy for full details.
When will Nonna be available on Android?
Nonna is currently iOS only. An Android version is on our roadmap — join our early access list to be notified when it launches.
